WHAT DOES THERMAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY FOR HOMES MEAN?
It means that homes are properly insulated, draught proofed, equipped with efficient heating and cooling systems, upgraded to optimise energy usage and even become energy generators.
Ultimately, it is a measure of how well a home can maintain a comfortable temperature while minimizing overall energy consumption and therefore reduced carbon emissions.
“Retrofitting 20% of the existing building stock to a zero-carbon-ready level of 2030 is an ambitious but necessary milestone toward the Net Zero Emissions by 2050 Scenario (NZR Scenario). To achieve this goal, an annual deep renovation rate of over 2% is needed from now to 2030 and beyond. Average annual energy retrofit rates in buildings are currently less than 1% in most major markets.”

OUR STORY
We started in 2023 and are here for the long term.
Each partner in the Alliance has worked individually on practical solutions to climate change in the built environment, some of us for many decades. We have joined together as a quality obsessed collective to answer one question:
“How might all Australian homes become low carbon, quickly!”
WE RETROFIT
We efficiently retrofit existing homes to improve thermal energy efficiency. From home assessment to prioritised and sequenced retrofit works, organising all qualified and experienced trades, to final quality management, so there is minimal disruption to the resident. Most of the work is completed in just a few days for each home.
“We are totally committed to long term, sustainable, quality outcomes.”
WE EDUCATE
We educate householders on practical changes they can make to their daily energy usage. By doing so, they can reduce their energy costs, increase their comfort, and play a part in achieving carbon reduction targets. We offer a mentoring service for housing support workers, ensuring that the best possible outcomes are achieved. Our framework allows householders to continually enhance and reinforce their knowledge on energy efficiency.
“The greenest energy is that which you don’t need to generate in the first place.”
WE CONTRIBUTE
We play our part in contributing to the greater good and protect Australia’s environment by bringing our experience to the discussion table with Local, State and Federal Agencies along with financial institutions, investment partners and philanthropists.
“If not us, then who? If not now, then when?”
